Rooftops have always intrigued me. There’s something about seeing the connection between the buildings that reminds me of how we live our lives. This photograph was taken from Giottos bell tower next to the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence.
Sunset at the Third Bridge
Alberto had numbered the bridges for us to communicate where to meet at night. The third bridge in Florence over the River Arno was Ponte alla Carraia. As I waited to meet my friend, I watched these people roe their boats up the river. The pattern of rings left in the water from their prattles seemed to last forever.
